Caroline, a glass toy and open sand

Caroline picks a quiet stretch of beach, tugs the patterned swimsuit aside and goes to work with a glass toy, knees apart on the warm sand. Her free hand stays busy. The camera sits low and close, near enough to catch the wet shine on the glass and the grain sticking to her thighs.

Daylight does most of the lighting job here, flat and bright off the sea, which strips away any studio polish. She glances off toward the shoreline now and then, half listening for company. Solo play in the open air, and she clearly enjoys the risk of it.
