A brunette settles onto a deep, dark sofa in her lingerie and begins working her way out of it, one piece at a time. Her legs stretch along the cushions, an arm hooks behind her head, and the fabric comes away slowly enough that each stage registers before the next one starts.

Old film stock does half the work here: soft grey light, heavy grain, a room that gives away almost nothing. This vintage striptease has the loose, improvised feel of a reel shot in someone’s front room, and her ease in front of the lens is what carries it.
