Carrie dances out of her lingerie

Carrie starts with music and lingerie, loosening one piece at a time as she dances for the lens. The camera sits still and lets her come to it. By the last garment she has stopped moving to the beat and settled into touching herself, hands slow and deliberate.

Grain, soft colour and a slightly worn tape mark this as something filmed years ago, at home, for an audience of one. Amateur footage of that vintage carries a particular honesty: no lighting rig, no second take. Carrie’s striptease holds up because she is plainly enjoying being looked at, and the film stays out of her way.
