Dressed for no one but herself

She arrives already dressed for the evening: dark satin, bare shoulders, heels she keeps on. The camera stays back at first, letting the room and its one warm lamp do the work, then moves closer as she settles onto the arm of a chair and lets a strap slip.

Glamour filmed this way lives on restraint. Nothing is announced; the shift from posed to private happens between shots, in a glance towards the lens and the way she resets her hair. By the last minute the styling has done its job, and what remains is simply her, lit well and aware of being watched.
